Latitude & Life

Our Story

India

A copper bottle, tumbler, and old photographs on a table overlooking a riverside temple town at golden hour, India.

India has one of the longest continuous material and ritual traditions in the world — thousands of years of metalwork, textile craft, herbal knowledge, and daily practice, much of it still very much alive in working households and workshops today, not preserved behind museum glass.

We started Latitude & Life here because it's where we have the deepest, most direct relationships — with the coppersmith workshops in Moradabad and Uttar Pradesh who make our current collection, and with the wellness traditions, like Ayurveda, that inform how we talk about ritual.

Starting in India doesn't mean staying only in India. It means the standard we hold ourselves to — direct sourcing, honest crediting, no shortcuts on craft — travels with us as the brand expands into other Asian traditions.
